If you have encountered criminal offences committed by officials or employees of institutions subordinate to the Ministry of the Interior (except the State Security Service) or by officials and employees of the Prison Administration, you may submit an application (complaint) to the Internal Security Bureau.
The Internal Security Bureau also examines applications (complaints) concerning criminal offences involving violence committed in the performance of official duties by employees of the Port Police or municipal police.
What information should be included in the submission?
Please provide as complete and accurate information as possible regarding the suspected criminal offence you have observed, including:
- The circumstances of the incident;
- The name and workplace of the official or employee involved (if unknown, any identifying details that may help establish the person’s identity);
- The manner in which your rights have been violated;
- Any possible evidence indicating the guilt of the official or employee involved;
- Your personal data, address, and contact telephone number.
In accordance with the requirements of the Law on Submissions, a complaint that does not indicate the person’s given name and surname (for a legal entity – its name) and address (for a legal entity – its registered office) may be left without examination.
A complaint may be submitted in writing, electronically, or orally. If necessary, an oral submission will be formalized in writing by an official of the Internal Security Bureau.
