Last week, representatives from the Immunity Board of the Lithuanian Police visited the Internal Security Bureau with the aim to exchange experience and promote cooperation.
The Board representatives explained their scope of competence and role among the Lithuanian law enforcement agencies and informed about the most noteworthy measures implemented in the field of corruption prevention.
The Lithuanian Immunity Board is a division of the Lithuanian Police with 11 regional offices. Within the expertise of the Immunity Board of the Lithuanian Police is the detection, prevention and investigation of criminal offences committed by police officials and employees. This Board has been operating in Lithuania already for five years and it has accumulated significant experience and expertise in the fight against corruption.
The representatives of the Internal Security Bureau introduced the delegation members to the operation and functions of the Bureau, as well as further cooperation possibilities were discussed.
